“Another Day”

Life is too short to not take risks and enjoy it.

The sunshine gently kisses

the rocky mountainside while

shadows of a new day

are home to the animals

that are brave enough to claim it.

Some of the animals fear the darkness

they fear what is unknown within.

The sunshine provides warmth, light, and

a safety that the shadows cannot promise.

The shadows are a whirlwind of uncertainty:

you cannot see the future in it

but the risk of it is worth it,

for we are not promised a tomorrow.

So explore all the shadows

and light

that you may please,

for we are bound to meet again in another lifetime.
